Bev is passion. Powerful singer/songwriter, sultry jazz singer, award winning language teacher, world traveller, and lifelong yogi, her CD Woman in Black, along with her charity work, earned her a YWCA Woman of Distinction in the Arts Award. Having completed a rewarding teaching career, been a jazz vocalist for years, and performed throughout Saskatchewan, as well as Southeast Asia, Bev now devotes her time to songwriting, embracing her beloved guitar, travel, language study, and yoga study, while always seeking ways to give back.

Bev is passion. As a singer / songwriter, she may be acoustically sharing her original lyrics that will resonate with you long after the music is over, or her creative jazz / blues infused interpretations of an eclectic collection of covers. Or she may be singing with a full jazz band. Whatever the presentation, her smoky vocal delivery is intense, innovative, and compelling, for she is passion.
Bev uses her music to create connection and compassion. She has performed with African Djembe drum bands, led a retro rock band, has been the vocalist for the jazz septet 'Round Midnight for a number of years, and has also been performing as jazz vocalist more recently with Black Magic. Her extensive performance history - along with opening for Blues legend John Hammond and sharing the stage with Colin James, includes performances at the Regina and Ness Creek Folk Festivals, the Regina and Saskatchewan Jazz Festivals, and numerous acoustic performances in New Zealand, Australia, and throughout Southeast Asia.
A high school teacher by profession, Bev was very honoured in 2004 to be the recipient of a cherished Inspiring Teacher Award from her Alma Mater, the University of Regina. In 2009, she was further honoured when her CD Woman in Black - in conjunction with her contributions to the community - earned her the YWCA Woman of Distinction in the Arts Award.
Having completed a rewarding teaching career, and been a jazz vocalist for a number of years, Bev now devotes her time to songwriting, further developing her relationship with her beloved guitar, and nurturing her lifelong passions for travel, foreign culture, language study, and yoga study while always seeking ways to share and give back.
